The Ottawa Sport Council (OSC) provides interested parties with two ways to help improve the sport experience in Ottawa. Want to participate?
Become a Sport Advocate
You can help enhance the local sport experience by becoming a Sport Advocate. Sport Advocates include citizens and organizations who wish to create a quality and inclusive sport environment in Ottawa. OSC currently has representation from:
- True Sport

- Algonquin College
- University of Ottawa

Volunteer your time
Ottawa has successfully hosted several major sporting tournaments, including the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2007, the 2013 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship, and the 2013 Ottawa ITU World Duathlon World Championships. It would be impossible to stage these events without the effort and passion of committed volunteers.
In addition, volunteer expertise is required for Ottawa sport advisory committees. Sport Advisory Committees establish relationships between clubs, reduce resentment over shared resources, and create a united force to deal with issues and conflicts.
Volunteer now, and help create a fun, dynamic sport experience in Ottawa.
