THIS WEEKEND The Ottawa Lions & Athletics Canada are hosting:

The Panamerican Combined Events Cup and the Canadian Junior & Senior Combined Events Championships

At Terry Fox Athletics Facility over 3 days – Friday, Saturday, Sunday – June 17-18-19, we are looking for volunteers to help us host this truly world-class IAAF event.

This is a great opportunity to see some of the world’s best combined events athletes compete in one of the last opportunities to qualify for the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This is also a great resume building opportunity and volunteer hour completing opportunity.

There are half day and full day shifts available for the 3 days of competition.

Friday, June 17 (Open / Senior Decathlon & Heptathlon – Day 1)
10:00am – 3:00pm Morning Shifts (5 hours)
1:30pm – 6:30pm Afternoon Shifts (5 hours)
10:00am – 6:30pm Full Day Shifts (8.5 hours)

Saturday, June 18 (Junior & Youth – Day 1) (Open & Senior – Day 2) (BIG DAY!)
8:00am – 2:00pm Morning Shifts (6 hours)
11:00am – 5:00pm Mid-Day Shifts (6 hours)
12:30am – 7:00pm Evening Shifts (6.5 hours)

Sunday, June 19 (Junior & Youth – Day 2)
8:00am – 1:00pm Morning Shifts (5 hours)
11:00am – 4:30pm Afternoon Shifts (5.5 hours)
8:00am – 4:30pm Full Day Shifts (8.5 hours)

Priority will be given to those who can volunteer for 2 or more shifts over the 3 days.
Please arrive 15-20 minutes ahead of your scheduled shifts.
Report to the big white tent located in front of the blue trailed past the finish line.
Meals and snacks will be provided to volunteers.
Please bring a water bottle to refill at the water fountains.
Remember to dress for the weather – hat, sunscreen, jacket, etc.
A Pan Am Logo Tech T-shirt will be provided to volunteers to make them easily distinguishable.
