The Ottawa Rowing Club, Canada’s oldest rowing club founded in 1967 by Sir John A. Macdonald, invites you watch the 43rd annual Head of the Rideau Regatta. This flagship head race for the ORC is very popular with rowing clubs from across Ontario, Quebec and northern New York.

The Head of the Rideau Regatta will be held on Sunday, September 25, on the picturesque Rideau River, winding 5.3 kilometres through the heart of the City of Ottawa. The course begins at Black Rapids and finishes at the Rideau Canoe Club site at Hog’s Back. Races take place between 8:30am and 5:30pm. Spectators are welcome to come watch the racing at the Rideau Canoe Club and grab a delicious snack at the regatta bake table and on site food trucks. The banks of the River at Mooney’s Bay also offer a great spot to see the racing.
