Advocacy and Fair Play

Canadian Women in Sport (CWS) was founded to advocate for progressive change within Canada’s sport system. Its goal was to see the enhanced presence of girls and women at all levels and in all areas – as athletes, participants, leaders, officials, coaches and trainers.

True Sport Logo
True Sport is a social movement powered by people who believe that sport can transform lives and communities—if we do it right. True Sport members across Canada are committed to community sport that’s healthy, fair, inclusive, and fun. True Sport members stand together against cheating, bullying, aggressive parental behaviour, and win-at-all-costs thinking.
CCES logo Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) serves as a strong voice in the dialogue regarding ethics in Canadian sport. The CCES strives to address, through its strategic framework, several ethical sport issues in Canada, such as: doping, violence, poor parental behaviour, and weak community sport governance. Its ultimate vision is for sport in Canada to be fair, safe and open to everyone.
Right to Play is committed to every child’s right to play, globally. Its programs focus on measurably impacting the three most critical areas of social development: the quality of children’s education, children’s ability to stay healthy and their potential to help build peaceful communities.
Respect in Sport empowers people to recognize and prevent abuse, bullying and harassment in sport through interactive, online certification. Respect in Sport offers two online certification programs: an Activity Leader/Coach Program, and a Parent Program.
