Thank you! Ottawa Race Weekend Support of Community Programs
Thank you to the community for supporting the Ottawa Sport Council runners in Ottawa Race Weekend.
Over $3700 was raised to support community sport programs in for Ottawa families who otherwise cannot afford to participate. We are very appreciative of all of the donations!
Ottawa Race Weekend- help us support Community Sport
We welcome you to become involved with this initiative and support our cause. All funds raised will go directly to develop NEW programs for Ottawa families, who otherwise cannot afford to participate in sport activities. Tax receipts will be provided for all donations.
City of Ottawa Physical Activity and Sport Strategy for Individuals living with a Disability
Please accept an invitation on behalf of the City of Ottawa to take part in an online survey designed to collect general information from individuals living with a disability in Ottawa about their preferences in regards to participating in physical activity, fitness and/or sport programs in Ottawa and/or the barriers they may face in trying to do so.

The Imagine Ottawa SPORT Excellence Campaign has CLOSED. Thank you for your interest and participation in our Imagine Ottawa SPORT Excellence campaign. Over 300 people took the time to share their thoughts with new ideas, comments on existing ideas, and casting votes for their favourite ideas.

FUNDING for Community Sport- Ontario 2014 Summer Experience Program
The Ontario Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration, Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport has announced the 2014 Summer Experience Program. The Summer Experience Program provides funding to not-for-profit organizations, municipalities, and Aboriginal organizations and First Nations, to create career-related summer employment opportunities for students in the key ministry sectors outlined in the Program Guidelines.

Ottawa Sports Awards
The Ottawa Sports Awards is without doubt the most comprehensive and inclusive amateur sports recognition award event in Canada. Ottawa Sports Awards is seeking nominations for 2013. Canadian Assessment of Physical Literacy Pilot Testing
The Canadian Assessment of Physical Literacy (CAPL) is the first research based assessment tool to measure physical literacy in children 8 to 12 years of age. This assessment tool has the ability to measure physical competence, knowledge and motivation towards physical activity and daily behaviour. All these together represent all the tools a child needs to live a healthy, active lifestyle.
