The Ottawa Sport Council is pleased to announce its tenth annual Ottawa Sport Summit-  Analytics in Community Sport: What Is It? Why Is It Important? How Can Data Enhance Your Operations and Elevate Participants’ Experiences on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the RA Centre (Clark Hall).

Data analytics is transforming community sport organizations in Canada by enhancing operational efficiency and providing insights that can significantly improve participant experiences. According to a report from the Canadian Parks and Recreation Association, organizations that utilize data analytics can increase participant retention rates by up to 20%. By analyzing demographic information, these organizations can design programs that cater to diverse community needs, leading to greater inclusivity and engagement. For example, insights from the 2022 Canadian Sport Participation Report indicated that 68% of Canadians between 5 and 17 participate in sport, suggesting a strong demand for tailored programs. Additionally, tracking participation trends helps organizations optimize scheduling, reducing facility congestion by as much as 30%. Gathering feedback through surveys and social media analytics helps organizations quickly identify areas for improvement, ensuring that participants feel heard and valued. Overall, leveraging data analytics not only boosts operational efficiency but also fosters a more inclusive and responsive sporting environment.

We invite you to join us for our sport summit, Analytics in Community Sport: What Is It? Why Is It Important? How Can Data Enhance Your Operations and Elevate Participants’ Experiences on Saturday, November 30, 2024, where we will discuss how data utilization can strengthen your organization.
