The Ottawa Safe Sport Toolkit (OSST) Webinar will introduce the toolkit which has been designed to support community sport organizations on their safe sport journey. The OSST Webinar will be hosted on Tuesday, June 14th at 12PM EST.
Ottawa Safe Sport Toolkit
The Ottawa Safe Sport Toolkit provides organizations with user-friendly resources that identify and mitigate risks, and engage participants, coaches, officials, administrators, and volunteers in the safe sport journey. The Ottawa Safe Sport Toolkit was developed collaboratively with 12 Ottawa-based sport organizations to deliver custom resources based on industry best practices that work for community level sport.
During the OSST Webinar, we will discuss the iterative process of “safe sport implementation” for community sport. The toolkit is designed for continuous improvement to support organizations as they move forward on the safe sport journey, regardless of where the organization is today. This webinar aims to:
- Introduce the new Ottawa Safe Sport Toolkit and the Safe Sport Essentials
- Provide a demonstration of the Ottawa Safe Sport Toolkit website
- Provide an opportunity for questions and discussion about safe sport implementation and the toolkit
Registration:
During the webinar, we will be inviting questions and discussion among participants. To ensure all participants have an opportunity to share, registration will be limited. The webinar will be conducted via Zoom meeting with use of virtual meeting tools.
This is a free virtual event intended for community sport organizations in the Ottawa area. The webinar will be offered in English only.
We hope you will join us in exploring the Ottawa Safe Sport Toolkit and how it can support you in fostering safe, welcoming, and inclusive sport environments.
