Registration for the 2014 Sports Officials Canada conference is now open. This year’s conference is again being held at the Delta Ottawa City Centre September 26th to 28th.

The theme this year is “The Science of Officiating”. The world of sport has changed a lot in recent years. The use of science and technology has given athletes and coaches that extra edge. But how is science being used to help officials in their quest to be the best? What’s out there and are we using it? If not – why not? Are there Apps for Officiating? Can science help us develop better officials? What’s new in science and technology for officials? How fit do your officials have to be and how to get them there.

This year’s conference program will address these topics and more. You’ll hear from some of the best experts in the field of science and technology. Come share your experiences with Officials from across the country, from over 45 sports, from grassroots, the Olympics and Pros.

Once again, Sports Officials Canada is pleased to offer a special Conference Package for Ontario PSO, Canadian Armed Forces members and local Ottawa officials for just $100. The package includes the Friday night Welcome Reception, the Saturday NHLOA Breakfast, Saturday’s Luncheon sponsored by the Delta, the NHL Breakfast on Sunday, all conference sessions and a one year SOC iPartnership (Individual Membership).

A highlight of the weekend is the Sports Officials Canada Hall of Fame Dinner where the top officials from both amateur and professional sports are honoured by their peers. Tickets are available at cost for $70.00 each.
