When

20/02/2021
8:30 am - 3:00 pm

The Ottawa Sport Council is excited to announce our first workshop of the year, Strategic Planning – Helping Community Sport Rebound from the Pandemic, is being offered on three separate dates: February 20 (SOLD OUT), 26 (SOLD OUT), and March 5. This workshop will be offered virtually, via Zoom, for all participants.

This workshop is the first session of the Rebound  program being offered by the Ottawa Sport Council throughout 2021. This free 6-part program is being offered with the support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s Resilient Communities Fund.

Strategic Planning – Helping Community Sport Rebound

Community sport organizations have been challenged in new and unexpected ways during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is more important than ever that you have the tools to truly engage your teams and provide direction to achieve organizational goals.

Facilitated by local business leader Julien Leblanc, the workshop will help community sport organizations confirm priorities and revitalize their “go forward” plans. The sessions will give participants the tools and the confidence to realign, repurpose, and communicate their strategic plans as they look to revitalize their organizations over the next 12 to 18 months.

What’s on the agenda:

  • Develop a strategic plan for your organization with your key stakeholders.
  • Enjoy the process – have fun and truly engage your teams while preparing, creating and deploying your strategic plan.
  • Hold your team accountable to the actions and timelines developed in the plan.
  • Don’t forget to celebrate key milestones and deliverables along the way!

Registration:

The ultimate goal of the workshop is to walk away with an understanding of how the pandemic may have impacted core elements of your strategic plan and where to go from here. If possible given the current circumstances, our recommendation is for organizations to attend with up to 3 representatives (board members, staff, key volunteers) to capitalize on the outcomes of the workshop. Please register each member of the organization separately.

This is a free virtual event. The workshop will be conducted via Zoom meeting with use of breakout rooms, open discussion, and other virtual meeting tools. The same one-day workshop will be offered on 3 separate dates. Please register for 1 of the 3 available dates.
