Information
The Ottawa Rowing Club, Canada’s oldest rowing club established in 1867, will be hosting the Tulip Relay Rowing Regatta on the Rideau Canal on May 14.
The first edition of this event will feature Ottawa Rowing Club rowers racing over a 250m distance of the Canal between Fifth Avenue and Lansdowne Park. Crews will row 250m out, around a buoy and race the 250m back in a relay style competition that will feature single, double and quad rowing shells (boats).
Spectators are welcome! This is a fantastic opportunity to get a unique up close view of competitive rowing crews racing head to head. Join us as we celebrate the opening of the Rideau Canal, as well as the beautiful Tulip Festival and as we kick off the 2016 rowing season!
