Ottawa Sport Council with Tais McNeill – Preparing Strong Grant Applications Webinar
Wednesday, January 28th, Noon to 1pm
Save the Date! Ottawa Sport Council will host a one-hour Strong Grant Applications webinar to get your 2026 grant writing journey off to a great start.
Ottawa Sport Council continues to champion, educate and connect the community sport sector to a variety of grant funding opportunities throughout the year, highlighted in the OSC’s newsletter and our social media channels. To support this further we are excited to have Tais McNeill of Ottawa Community Foundation provide key educational pieces to this challenging but vital puzzle of grant applications.
Every year, millions of dollars in grants are made available to Canadian non-profits and charities. Yet grant-writing and applying for grants are often intimidating processes for non-profit staff and community leaders. This workshop aims at making effective grant writing more accessible to volunteers, coaches, administrators and sport leaders and boost confidence and knowledge on the foundations of grant applications.
Learning Outcomes:
- Gain insights into what makes an effective funding application
- Explore the elements that make a grant application compelling
- Practice articulating the unique value of your project and organization
- Acquire an understanding of the significance of data and performance indicators in funding proposals
