The Ottawa Sports Awards is without doubt the most comprehensive and inclusive amateur sports recognition award event in Canada. From the initial sixteen amateur athletes honoured in 1953, the Ottawa Sport Awards has grown to over 100 athletes, teams, coaches, administrators, officials and volunteers, representing more than 65 sports in 2013.
Ottawa Sports Awards is seeking nominations for 2013. Nominations are open until December 16, 2013. Eligibility criteria, nomination form, and further information are available at http://ottawasportsawards.ca
Major Award Nomination
Recognize an individual, club, or team that has made an outstanding contribution to the athletic community.
Individual Sport Nomination
Honour an athlete who demonstrated exceptional accomplishment in their individual sport in 2013.
Successful Team Nomination
Recognize alocal team that won a championship at the provincial level or higher in 2013.
Local Sport Endowment
Nominations are sought for a local grass roots sport organization which provides opportunity for youth or children who normally would not participate in sport. The selected organization will receive a contribution of $1,000 from the Kanata Sports Club and the Ottawa Sports Awards.
