The Ottawa Sport Council is excited to share a vital funding opportunity for local sport organizations!

Run Ottawa has launched the Run Ottawa Community Sport Fund, providing financial support to local, non-profit community sport organizations to help purchase essential equipment that enhances program delivery, safety, participant experience, and accessibility.

Funding Details

  • Grants Available: Two (2) grants of $10,000 CAD each (one-time equipment grant).
  • Eligible Uses: New or replacement equipment purchases, safety/protective gear, or equipment that improves accessibility.
  • Who Can Apply: Registered local non-profit sport organizations in the Ottawa/Gatineau region (within a 100 km radius of downtown Ottawa) that deliver endurance sport programming (such as running, track & field, cycling, cross-country skiing, swimming, rowing/paddling, triathlon, orienteering, and more).
  • Application Window: Open now through September 30, 2026.

To help your organization submit a competitive application, the Ottawa Sport Council and Run Ottawa are co-hosting a live virtual webinar. Hear directly from Run Ottawa on grant specifics and connect with the Ottawa Sport Council for guidance on application requirements.

  • Location: Virtual / Online (Zoom link to be shared upon registration)
