FUNDING for Community Sport- Ontario 2014 Summer Experience Program

The Ontario Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration, Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport has announced the 2014 Summer Experience Program.

The Summer Experience Program provides funding to not-for-profit organizations, municipalities, and Aboriginal organizations and First Nations, to create career-related summer employment opportunities for students in the key ministry sectors outlined in the Program Guidelines.

The Ministry’s priorities for SEP positions for Sport and Recreation include:

  • Contribute to delivery and sustenance of high quality policies and programs that strengthen the sport and recreation sectors, encourage physical activity and benefit all Ontarians.
  • Contribute towards enhancement of the province’s high performance sport system enabling athletes to achieve success.
  • Support community-based organizations so they can deliver effective programming to diverse and  vulnerable populations
