The Ottawa Sport Council (OSC) is pleased to announce that we will be holding our second annual Sport Summit on Saturday, November 14th at the Horticulture Building, Lansdowne Park.
Since its formation, OSC has strived to help increase the leadership capacity of sport organizations in our nation’s capital. In doing so, we have found that the largest obstacle for organizations to overcome is lack of funding. Given operational, equipment and facility costs, budgets are harder to balance every year—and learning how to secure grants and sponsorships can be a headache.
To address this challenge, at this year’s Sport Summit, Overcoming the Funding Hurdle in Community Sport , we’re going to engage participants with some entertaining and educational activities that will show you how to get your organization the funding it needs—and we’ve got some lucrative surprises planned. We’re also going to connect you with subject matter experts that can answer any questions or concerns you might have.
Just like last year, this is a free event. We do ask participants to consider making a minimum $30 donation to the Ottawa Sport Council Foundation. The Ottawa Sport Council Foundation has been created to provide sporting organizations with grants, adopting key focus areas each year. Tax receipts will be provided.
More details and full registration info will be available in September. We hope to see you at the Sport Summit!
