Through the Ottawa Sport Council and Volunteer Ottawa partnership, the VO portal serves as a centralized hub connecting local sports clubs with eager volunteers. The Volunteer Ottawa portal allows organizations to post volunteer opportunities, recruit and manage volunteers while expanding recruitment efforts beyond their own communities. Volunteer Ottawa has over 10,000 engaged volunteers registered with their platform plus many more who view volunteer listings. The Volunteer Ottawa platform also has the ability for organizations to target volunteers with certain skills sets for specific roles and direct contact enabled capability to reach those dedicated volunteers looking for opportunities.
