Community Sport Dialogue: From Recommendations to Action
Friday, November 13, 2026
8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
University of Ottawa (Telfer School of Management – Desmarais Building)
Building on the findings and recommendations of the Commission on the Future of Sport in Canada, this event will bring together sport leaders from across Ottawa, alongside researchers, students, policymakers, and community organizations, to explore how our city can lead the implementation of meaningful change.
The discussion will focus on practical actions that municipalities, governments, educational institutions, and community sport organizations can take to create safer, more inclusive, and more sustainable sport environments. Together, participants will identify opportunities for Ottawa to demonstrate leadership and advance concrete actions that strengthen community sport locally and contribute to broader national objectives surrounding sport.
