Rebound

With support from the Ontario Trillium Foundation’s Resilient Communities Fund in 2021, the Ottawa Sport Council  launched Rebound – a free program developed to help our members recover and rebound from the COVID-19 pandemic.  This program complements the resources found in the Ottawa Return to Play Roadmap.

Resources from the Rebound Program:

The Growth Mindset- Strategic Planning Chalk Talk this video offers a snapshot of the Strategic Planning Chalk Talk, the first workshop in the Rebound program. This video will help you look at and best articulate the the future vision and goals for your organization; walk you through the skills, capabilities, investments, and mindset your organization needs to achieve its goals; and provide insight into tools your organization can utilize to measure communication, execution, and accountability

Volunteer Recruitment and Retention- This report provides a summary of the Volunteer Recruitment and Retention Chalk Talk which highlighted existing challenges of recruiting volunteers in sport, especially given the pandemic and gave participants the opportunity to identify the skills required to serve as Directors, Coaches, Committee members, Team Managers, and Safety Officers.

Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Panel Discussion– The EDI Panel Discussion Video is a conversation among leaders in our sport community about creating fun, safe, and welcoming sport experiences for everyone. Panelists share their lived experiences and perspectives on levelling the field of play.

OSC Slack Workspace –  We launched a Slack Workspace for members of community sport in Ottawa to stay connected. Slack is a channel-based messaging platform. The platform is used to share ideas and resources, ask questions, and connect with others to strengthen the community sport sector in Ottawa. Join the Ottawa Sport Council Slack Workspace
